To quote Jazz Times:"McCaslin’s a versatile player who moves easily between inside and outside musical zones… There’s a fluidity and grace to his playing even when he’s pushing at envelopes.”
Scott Colley - bass - Forceful lines, impeccable articulation, assured sense of swing and sensitive support have made Scott Colley the bassist of choice for such legends as Herbie Hancock and Jim Hall. Colley's remarkably empathetic skills, strong melodic penchant and improvisational daring have served him well in groups led by colleagues Chris Potter, Adam Rogers and Brian Blade. But it is as a composer and bandleader in his own right that Colley has flourished in recent years, as evidenced by a string of consistently impressive recordings.
Dave Binney - sax - Acclaimed as a considerable and highly individual compositional talent, saxophonist David Binney is one of the most prolific young jazz musicians on the scene today. Winning praise from critics and colleagues alike, David was recently singled out by Jazz Times as one of a handful of "young players who have created an alternative jazzscene... all of whom are playing adventurous, original music." |
